In the city of Chennai, an app for women safety Raudram was launched

For many years women have been facing sexual harassment from men and inspite of many steps taken to stop this sexual harassment of women has been growing day by day.
On Tuesday, 16th of October 2018, an app named ‘Raudram’ was launched in Chennai city for the safety of the women. It is now revealed by the experts that this is the correct time for the launch of this app because of many women who are coming out and speaking out about their sexual harassment in the # Me Too movement.
Founder Sudha Reddy expressed her views and spoke about how this app has got instant alerts and emergency alarm and how in the times of emergency a woman has to activate the panic button with a click. She later added that a dedicated control room would be tracking the events.
Sudha Reddy surprised many when she spoke about how this new app might also be integrated into whistle app of Makkal Needhi Mayyam. It is worthy to mention that this app was launched by none other than actor Kamal Hassan. As per Sudha Reddy the talks to integrate this app ‘Raudram’ with the whistle app of Makkal Needhi Mayyam took place and in the next few day of time the steps to integrate would also take place. She later revealed about a private call centre named CGS Private Ltd said that the app is integrated into this company. This company has been registered to receive stress calls and panic alerts and is functional already. The working process of this app was explained by Sudha Reddy. One important point is as soon as the panic button is pressed by the women then the app would take a 10 second video and audio messages along with the pictures. It would also be send to the call centre.
She finally spoke about the advantages of this new app and said emergency contact would be informed plus there would be enough evidence at the call centre. Finally by this new app police would be informed. This app that was launched would be free to use and the company would also provide free legal services and help to file a complaint.
