No transaction of Currency notes of Rs. 2000 on ATMs from 1st March!

Indian Bank is indulged in the activity of removing the circulation of Rs.2000 currency notes from the ATM centres as per the orders from the Reserve Bank of India.
During the year 2016, the central government had announced that the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 would be invalid with the main objective of printing of fake noes and removal of black money. Subsequently, the central government issued the new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 currency notes.
In this scenario, Indian Bank has notified that the transaction of Rs. 2000 currency notes will be stopped henceforth in ATMs.
Further, it has asked the ATM users not to deposit Rs. 2000 currency notes in ATMs. Further, when making payments/deposits in the accounts.
Further, it is notified that there would be no circulation of Rs. 2000 currency notes henceforth. Information is gathered that this would be implemented from 1st March.
