These steps are superb in preventing urinary tract infection in men

Most of us think that women only get affected by urinary tract infection or UTI and it is not true. Men also get this UTI in them as the harmful bacteria enter into the urinary tract. The infection that affects the urinary tract of a person is termed as urinary tract infection. UTI must be considered seriously and must not be taken lightly because it could lead to many serious health problems later.
It is worthy to note that men who are affected by this UTI have urge to urinate more than the normal. During urination men experience pain that might vary from mild to severe. The urine would be smelling bad and would be associated with burning sensation also. Regulation of our lifestyle is important and it plays a huge role in preventing UTI. After the age of 50 the chances of men getting UTI is more. Antibiotic drugs could be used to cure this UTI.
There are certain steps that could prevent this UTI in men and they are
Never hold on urination:
This is very important step and must be followed. By not urinating and holding it, our body is exposed to harmful bacteria and infections in the urinary bladder occur. Our urinary bladder could hold up to 500 cc of urine and beyond that there would be uncontrolled urge to urinate.
Enough fluids intake:
Drinking enough water is important as it could improve digestion, keeps body hydrated etc. Everyday intake of atleast 2.5 to 3 litres of water is important. UTI is prevented in men when sufficient amount of water is consumed.
Cleaning of the genitals is compulsory:
Many of us clean our face and body but not clean our genital areas well. This could result in UTI.  Cleaning of male organ thoroughly is a must while taking bath. Infections usually begin as local irritations and itching and could lead up to entire urinary passage. Good hygiene is essential.
Going to general check up is essential:
Not many men are aware of the fact that presence of kidney stones, prostate enlargement, diabetes could also lead to UTI in them. General health check up like blood test, urine test, heart check-up etc twice or once in a year could help in detecting UTI.
Be careful during sex:
It is said that Escherichia coli or E. coli is responsible for this UTI and they pass from one person to another. By unprotected sex this E.coli could enter our urethra. Using condoms during sex is important and it could prevent E. coli from travelling from one person to the other.
Intake of natural supplements:
D-mannose or hibiscus extract could be highly beneficial and these natural supplements could combat UTI and prevent it from coming back again.
