OnePlus has begun rolling out the much-anticipated OxygenOS 16 update (based on Android 16) to the OnePlus 13 and 13s models in India this November. The update introduces a completely revamped UI design, smoother multitasking, advanced AI-powered tools like “AI Writer” and “VoiceScribe”, an enhanced always-on display dubbed “Flux Theme 2.0”, and a new “Trinity Engine” aimed at improving responsiveness, battery efficiency and connectivity.
For existing OnePlus users this means a substantial step up in user-experience without changing the phone hardware; for competitors it raises the bar on what a flagship update must deliver. The update schedule has been published, so users are advised to back up their data and ensure battery & storage stability before installing. The emphasis on AI-powered editing tools and connectivity features also signals how smartphone manufacturers are increasingly focusing on software-led differentiators.
