🛒 Ingredients:
- Raw rice / dosa rice – 2 cups
- Urad dal (whole or split) – ½ cup
- Fenugreek seeds (methi) – ½ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Water – as needed
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Method:
Step 1: Wash & Soak
- Wash rice, urad dal, and methi separately.
- Soak rice for 5–6 hours and dal+methi for 4–5 hours.
Step 2: Grind Dal
- Grind urad dal first with little water till fluffy and smooth.
Step 3: Grind Rice
- Grind soaked rice to slightly coarse paste.
Step 4: Mix Batter
- Combine both batters in a bowl. Add salt and mix well using your hand.
Step 5: Ferment
- Cover and keep in warm place for 8–12 hours or overnight until doubled and bubbly.
Step 6: Make Dosa
- Mix batter gently, add water if thick.
- Heat tawa, spread batter thin, drizzle oil, cook till golden and crispy.
Step 7: Serve Hot
- Serve with coconut chutney and sambar 😋

- Add a spoon of cooked rice while grinding for extra crispiness.
- Use iron tawa for best texture.
