The state government of Punjab has disbursed ₹ 332 crore to support rural development projects, with ₹ 156 crore channelled as untied funds giving gram-panchayats flexibility, and the remainder directed towards sanitation through tied funds.
An additional ₹ 334 crore is expected to be released in December or early January, ensuring a steady flow of funds into rural infrastructure ahead of the budget year. This move reflects an active push by the state to stimulate rural demand and build basic amenities.
