MSI has announced that it will locally manufacture its flagship Katana and Crosshair laptop series (powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics) at its Chennai facility in partnership with Syrma SGS Technology. The move not only caters to India’s rising gamer and content-creator community but also underscores India’s growing role in high-end electronics manufacturing.
By producing locally, MSI leverages India’s manufacturing incentives and reduces import dependencies, while building a supply chain for premium productivity and gaming hardware. This marks another step in India’s ambition to move up the value chain in electronics assembly and design rather than being just an end-market.
