India’s space agency ISRO is all set to launch “Bharatiya SatNav,” a next-generation navigation satellite as part of the NavIC upgrade program. Designed to rival GPS, the new system promises improved accuracy and real-time positioning across urban and remote India. The satellite will be launched from Sriharikota later this month aboard a GSLV rocket.
With major applications in transportation, agriculture, and defense, Bharatiya SatNav aims to reduce dependence on foreign systems. It will also support 5G rollout and autonomous vehicle development, marking a major leap for India’s tech sovereignty. 🛰️📡🇮🇳
