Ingredients
- 300g paneer cubes
- ½ cup thick curd (dahi)
- 3 tbsp fresh cream (malai)
- 1 tbsp cornflour or besan
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp roasted jeera powder
- ½ tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1–2 tbsp oil or melted butter
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander or mint for garnish
Marination
- In a bowl, whisk curd + malai until smooth.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, pepper, garam masala, roasted jeera, kasuri methi, lemon juice, salt, and cornflour. Mix well.
- Add paneer cubes and coat them gently.
- Let it rest for 30 minutes (or 2 hours for best flavour).
Cooking Methods
🔥 In Tawa/Pan
- Heat a pan with some butter or oil.
- Place the marinated paneer pieces and cook on medium flame.
- Flip gently until all sides turn slightly golden and the marinade sticks well.
🔥 In Oven/OTG
- Preheat to 200°C.
- Arrange paneer on a greased tray.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning once.
🔥 In Air Fryer
- Preheat to 180°C.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes.
Serving
Serve hot with mint chutney, pickled onions, lemon wedges, and sprinkle some chaat masala on top for extra zing.
