🕒 Prep Time: 10 mins
🍳 Cook Time: 15 mins
🥣 Serves: 10–12 laddus
🌾 Ingredients:
- 1 cup white sesame seeds (til)
- ½ cup jaggery (grated or powdered)
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 2 tbsp peanuts (optional)
- 1 tbsp desiccated coconut (optional)
- A pinch of cardamom powder
👩🍳 Method:
- Roast the sesame seeds:
In a pan, dry roast sesame seeds on low flame until they turn light golden and aromatic. Remove and set aside. - Melt the jaggery:
In the same pan, add ghee and grated jaggery. Stir continuously until it melts and forms a sticky syrup (do not overcook). - Mix it all together:
Add roasted sesame seeds, peanuts, coconut, and cardamom powder. Mix quickly until everything is well coated in the jaggery syrup. - Shape the laddus:
While the mixture is still warm, grease your palms with a little ghee and roll small portions into round laddus. - Cool & store:
Let them cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
💡 Tip: Warm the laddus slightly before eating for that perfect winter comfort — crunchy, nutty, and full of warmth! 🌰🔥
