1. Visa-Free Entry for Indian Tourists
Starting June 8, 2025, the Philippines allows Indian nationals to enter without a visa for tourism purposes:
- If traveling on a standard Indian passport: Up to 14 days visa-free, non-extendable. Must present:
- A passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the stay
- Confirmed hotel booking
- Proof of financial capacity
- Return or onward ticket
- e-Travel registration
- If holding a valid visa or residence from USA, Australia, Canada, Schengen, Singapore, UK, or Japan (AJACSSUK): Up to 30 days visa-free under similar conditions.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to boost tourism from India, which saw a 12% increase in arrivals in 2024, totaling approximately 80,000 visitors.
2. Reciprocal Free e-Visa for Filipino Travelers
In response, India is offering Filipino nationals a free 30-day e-tourist visa, valid for double entry, from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026:
- Applicants must apply at least 4 days in advance, and up to 30 days ahead of travel.
- Requirements include:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- Proof of return or onward travel
- Sufficient funds for the stay
3. Direct Flights Between Delhi and Manila
To further support the tourism boost, Air India will commence direct flights from Delhi to Manila starting October 1, 2025:
- Operating 5 times per week (Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun) using Airbus A321neo
- Offering Business, Premium Economy, and Economy classes
