🍍 Pineapple Halwa – Sweet, Tangy & Melt-in-the-Mouth Delight!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped pineapple (fresh or canned)
  • ½ cup rava/sooji
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup milk (optional for richness)
  • 2 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • A few drops of yellow food color (optional)

Method

  1. Blend the pineapple slightly into a coarse puree (don’t make it too smooth).
  2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, fry cashews & raisins; remove and keep aside.
  3. Add the rest of the ghee and roast the rava on low flame until aromatic.
  4. Pour in water + milk and mix well to avoid lumps.
  5. Add the pineapple puree and stir until it thickens.
  6. Add sugar — the halwa will loosen again; keep stirring until it thickens.
  7. Mix in cardamom powder and optional food color.
  8. Cook until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
  9. Garnish with fried cashews & raisins and serve warm.
