🧀 Dahi Malai Tikka – Creamy, Rich & Melt-in-the-Mouth!

Ingredients

  • 300g paneer cubes
  • ½ cup thick curd (dahi)
  • 3 tbsp fresh cream (malai)
  • 1 tbsp cornflour or besan
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp roasted jeera powder
  • ½ tsp kasuri methi (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1–2 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander or mint for garnish

Marination

  1. In a bowl, whisk curd + malai until smooth.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, pepper, garam masala, roasted jeera, kasuri methi, lemon juice, salt, and cornflour. Mix well.
  3. Add paneer cubes and coat them gently.
  4. Let it rest for 30 minutes (or 2 hours for best flavour).

Cooking Methods

🔥 In Tawa/Pan

  1. Heat a pan with some butter or oil.
  2. Place the marinated paneer pieces and cook on medium flame.
  3. Flip gently until all sides turn slightly golden and the marinade sticks well.

🔥 In Oven/OTG

  1. Preheat to 200°C.
  2. Arrange paneer on a greased tray.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes, turning once.

🔥 In Air Fryer

  1. Preheat to 180°C.
  2. Air fry for 10–12 minutes.

Serving

Serve hot with mint chutney, pickled onions, lemon wedges, and sprinkle some chaat masala on top for extra zing.
