🍫🥜 No-Sugar Walnut Fudge: Guilt-Free, Healthy & Kids-Friendly Dessert 💛

Ingredients

  • Walnuts – 1 cup
  • Seedless dates – 8 to 10 (or figs)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder – 1 tbsp (optional)
  • Desiccated coconut – 2 tbsp (optional)
  • Cardamom powder – a pinch
  • Ghee or coconut oil – 1 tsp

Method

  • Dry roast walnuts on low flame until aromatic; cool and grind coarsely
  • Soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes; grind into a smooth paste
  • Heat a pan, add ghee or coconut oil
  • Add date paste and cook on low flame until thick
  • Add ground walnuts, cocoa powder, coconut, and cardamom
  • Mix well and cook until the mixture leaves the pan sides
  • Transfer to a greased plate and spread evenly
  • Let it cool, then cut into bite-sized fudge pieces

Tips

  • Skip cocoa for a plain walnut fudge
  • Add a little milk if the mixture feels too dry
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days
