Indian Railways has started introducing high-speed 5G-enabled Wi-Fi on select premium trains, including Vande Bharat and Rajdhani Express services. This upgrade allows passengers to enjoy seamless video streaming, faster browsing, and stable connections even at high speeds.
The initiative is part of Railways’ broader digital transformation plan, aiming to improve passenger experience through smart ticketing, real-time tracking, and onboard infotainment. If successful, the service is expected to expand to more long-distance and semi-high-speed trains across the country.
