The Indian Weather Bureau has warned that there are strong prospects of heavy rains in several states in India in the next 24 hours.
It has informed that there are strong prospects of very heavy rain in the following states and areas – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal areas of Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Punjab, Kashmir, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Central Maharashtra, Karnataka, and the coastal areas of Kerala.
It has been already raining heavily in the state of Karnataka. All the dams in the state are full. So, the water is released at 81983 cft per sec from the Cauvery river.
51938 cft per sec of water is being discharged from the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam and 30000 cft per sec is discharged from the Kabini dam.
It is informed that there are very strong prospects of heavy to very heavy rain in Odisha and South Chattisgarh.
