Tamil Nadu govt announces complete lockdown in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore from 26th to 29th April.
All shops, except pharmacies will be shut. Medical services will be permitted.
Govt depts like secretariat, health dept, police, revenue, electricity, local bodies etc will function.
Amma canteens, ATM, Koyambedu market and other wholesale markets will be open.
Mobile vegetable markets will be allowed.
Food delivery services such as Swiggy/ Zomato permitted.
33% workforce allowed in central govt offices.
Community kitchens run by govt allowed.
Salem and Tiruppur will follow 3 days complete lockdown.
This has been announced in an attempt to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

Below services can operate from April 20th Monday as per the Guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs,
IT and ITES companies can work with 50% staff strength.
E-commerce companies can operate.
Manufacturing industries in rural areas(outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities) can operate, The workers should stay within or nearby premises. Transportation to be done, following Social distancing guidelines.
Agriculture/Farming activities – the entire supply chain can be started.
Movement of trucks – Both inter state and intra-state will be allowed, Highway Dhabas can be open to service them.
Construction activities in rural areas can resume.
Below services are restricted until May 3rd

Taxi, Auto, Cab aggregators,Theatres, Malls, Parks, Liquor Shops & Bars, Sports & gyms cannot operate during Lockdown2.
No marriages,ceremonies with large gatherings or religious functions can be held.

TN Govt announced,
All restrictions to continue under Disaster Management Act and CrPC 144.
All rice card holders will be given free ration for the month of May.
Another Rs1000 to be given as compensation for all registered workers in the unorganised sector.
Migrant workers will be provided with 15 kg rice, 1kg dal and cooking oil.
All the bakeries and hotels will be allowed to function from 6am to 1pm for takeaway services only.
