With an objective to encourage and improve the extent of all digital financial transactions, the central government has announced that the FASTag stickers will be offered free from 15th to 29th February.
Recently introduced, the FASTag system is in operation throughout the country. In this system, there is no need to wait for a long time at the toll-gates! As the payment mode is digital, it is deducted every time the vehicle passes a toll-gate and SMS will be sent to the vehicle owner’s mobile number.
Discount
In this scenario, with an objective to increase the FASTag transactions, the National Highway Commission has announced a discount of Rs. 100 from the price of FASTag stickers from 15th to 29th February for a period of 15 days.
The vehicle owners, along with the particulars of vehicle registration, can approach the ‘Point of Sales’ centres and obtain the FASTag stickers free.
