Jackfruit Kozhukatta Recipe You Must Try! 😋🍈

🌟 Jackfruit Kozhukatta Recipe (Approx. 10 pieces)

📝 Ingredients:

  • Ripe jackfruit (chakka chula) – 1 cup (finely chopped or mashed)
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Jaggery – ½ cup (adjust to taste)
  • Rice flour – 1 cup (roasted, for outer layer)
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Ghee – 1 tsp
  • Water – as needed
  • Salt – a pinch

🔥 For the Filling:

  1. In a pan, add jaggery with 2-3 tbsp of water and melt it.
  2. Strain to remove impurities (optional).
  3. Add mashed jackfruit, grated coconut, and cardamom powder.
  4. Stir until the mixture thickens and becomes sticky.
  5. Add a little ghee for flavor. Let it cool.

🫓 For the Outer Dough:

  1. Boil 1 cup water with a pinch of salt.
  2. Gradually add it to the roasted rice flour, mixing with a spoon.
  3. When warm, knead into a smooth, soft dough.

🧁 Assembling the Kozhukatta:

  1. Take small balls of dough and flatten them in your palm.
  2. Place 1 spoon of the jackfruit filling inside.
  3. Fold and seal the edges. Shape into balls or half-moon dumplings.

🧂 Steam It:

  • Place them in a steamer/idli cooker.
  • Steam for 10–15 minutes or until the outer layer is cooked and shiny.
