Tamil Nadu extends lockdown up to 28 June 2021 and region wise relaxations announced.

Region 1 : Coimbatore, Nelagiri, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Karur, Namakkal, Tanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladudurai.

Current lockdown restrictions continues.

Region 2 : Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet.

1. Standalone groceries, provisions, departmental stores, vegetables, flower, fish and meat stalls can be open from 6am-7pm.
2. Hotels/bakeries can function till 9pm for takeaway services alone.
3. E-commerce delivery allowed from 6am-9pm.
4. Public transport allowed with 50% capacity.
5. Chennai metro allowed with 50% capacity without A/C.
6. All government departments can function with 100% staff.
7. All private establishments and industry can function with 50% staff.
8. Public allowed to travel in taxis, autos etc without e-pass
9. Cinema and serial shootings allowed with 100 persons
10. Govt offices can function in full capacity.
11. Private organisations can work with 50% capacity.
12. Homes for elderly, children, destitute, differently abled etc & travel these homes without e-registration allowed.
13. All construction activities allowed.
14. Electricians, plumbers, etc allowed from 6am-7pm with e-registration.
15. All commercial establishments can operate from 9am-7pm
16. Fancy stores, utensil traders, beauty products, photo studios, laundry, printing press, tailoring, Xerox allowed from 9am-7pm.
17. Tea shops allowed from 6am-7pm for only takeaway.
18. Roadside food stalls allowed from 6am-7pm for parcel service.
19. Beauty parlours, salon, spa allowed without air-conditioning with 50% customers from 6am-7pm.
20. Sports training & outdoor events allowed without spectators from 6am-7 pm.
21. Shooting with 100 persons and Post-production activities allowed with COVID-19 testing.
22. Taxis with 3 members /auto with 2 members without e-registration allowed.
23. Travel for wedding allowed with e-pass in Region with 50 guests.

Region 3 : Rest All 23 Districts.

1. Standalone groceries, provisions, departmental stores, vegetables, flower, fish and meat stalls can be open from 6am-7pm.
2. Hotels/bakeries can function till 9pm for takeaway services alone.
3. E-commerce delivery allowed from 6am-9pm.
4. All essential Government Departments allowed with 100% staff. Other Govt Depts with 50% staff.
5. Private companies allowed with 33% staff.
6. Electrical’s goods, hardware, automobile spares, mechanics, automobile shops, stationery, footwear, opticals, appliances, electricians, carpenters, mobile shops, construction materials can be open from 9am-5pm.
7. Admission related work in educational institutions allowed.
8. Sports training/events without spectators allowed from 6am-5pm.
9. Cinema theatre maintenance with permission.
10. Taxis with 3 members /auto with 2 members with e-registration allowed.
11. HFCs, NBFCs etc with 33% staff allowed.
12. Travel for wedding allowed with e-pass in Region with 50 guests.
