🥭 Mango Panna Cotta Recipe (Serves 4)
Ingredients
For the panna cotta base:
- 1 cup fresh cream (heavy cream or Amul fresh cream)
- 1/2 cup full-fat milk
- 1/4 cup sugar (adjust as needed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 tsp agar agar powder or 2 tsp gelatin (if non-vegetarian)
For the mango layer:
- 1 to 1.5 cups mango pulp (fresh or canned, strained)
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, based on mango sweetness)
- 1/2 tsp agar agar powder or 1 tsp gelatin
Instructions
- Make the panna cotta layer:
- In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, and sugar.
- Heat gently until the sugar dissolves—don’t boil.
- Add agar agar (or gelatin) and simmer gently for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into serving glasses, filling them halfway.
- Let it set in the fridge for 1–2 hours.
- Prepare the mango layer:
- Blend mango pulp until smooth.
- Heat it gently with sugar (if using).
- Add agar agar or gelatin, simmer for 2–3 minutes until dissolved.
- Cool slightly, then pour over the set panna cotta layer.
- Chill again for 2–3 hours or until fully set.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh mango pieces or mint leaves.
- Serve chilled!
