The Chennai Metro Transport Corporation has announced that the senior citizens can get the set of free bus pssses and tokens.
The senior citizens must bring their Aadhar card in original and copies and present the same to obtain fresh/renewed free bus pssses and tokens. For every quarter, these will be issued from the 21st of the last month of the previous quarter to the 30th of the next month for a total of 40 days of free travel for 3 months in MTC buses and the senior citizens can visit and get the same.
For the period from April to June 2018, the free bus pssses and tokens can be obtained from 21st March 2018 to 30th April 2018.
These free token and bus pssses can be obtained from the 42 centres of MTC in the city. They may be obtained from the following bus terminus centres:
Broadway, Central Railway Station, Guindy Estate, KK Nagar, Mandavelli, Velachery, Saidapet, Pallavaram, Tambaram, T.Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Vadapalani, Ayyappanthangal, Villivakkam, Ambattur, Anna Nagar (west), Koyambedu, Ayanavaram, Tollgate (Sungachavadi), Ambattur O.T, M K B Nagar, Avadi, Poonamallee, Vallalarnagar, and Thiruvotriyur,
They may also be obtained in the MTC workshops located at:
Adyar, Vyasarpadi, Madhavaram, Semmencherry, Alandur, Saidapet, Adambakkam, Chromepet-1, Basin Bridge, Central workshop, Ennore, Padiyanallur, and Besant Nagar.
These 42 centres given above will function from 8.30 AM to 1.30 PM and from 2.00 PM to 7.00 PM.
